The Charter Source and Covert Authorities System is designed with users' needs at the forefront of development and with an emphasis on ease of use.
User determined content and features
Organisations who use the system can participate in the bi-annual user group. The role of the user group is to identify improvements and changes in national practice and procedures with the development of the product determined by a User Group Executive Committee chaired by a Police Officer.
Ease of use
On screen help and organisational processes are displayed alongside input screens to ensure correct procedures are followed. The application also features a spell checker and cut and paste functionality to improve system efficiency.
Screen familiarity
Users are presented with 'windows' driven screens throughout the application to aid system familiarity.
Help Button
Application Help buttons ensure users can easily navigate through the system.
'On the fly' change amendments
Easily changeable help screens ensure users do not repeat mistakes and allows organisations to quickly react to changes in processes.
Flexible use
The system is easily configurable to meet the individual needs of organisations whilst remaining legally compliant.
Question Sets and templates
Question sets and templates allow users and administrators to quickly and easily change questions and bespoke the system to their individual procedures.
Minimal training requirements
A 'train the trainer' approach ensures that key individuals within organisations have a high level of understanding and are self reliant prior to operational use.
