The Charter Source and Covert Authorities System allows RIPA and covert policing tactics to be securely and compliantly recorded and managed in one integrated application.

Designed by operational officers from the covert arena, the system ensures that the proper procedures are in place and followed, and that the correct authorisations are obtained - ensuring your organisation can implement the provisions of RIPA to ensure that covert surveillance and the use of Covert Human Intelligence Sources (CHIS) are undertaken in accordance with the law.

Implemented by UK Police forces and Law Enforcement agencies, the system complies with all current Home Office legislation and ACPO guidelines, and it is the only application to be specified by the Police for the Police ensuring developments comply with changes to legislation and guidelines.

When used in its entirety, the Charter Source and Covert Authorities System is a critical management tool that provides a central register of all applications, authorisations and refusals of covert surveillance are available for inspection and that covert operations and investigations can be effectively assessed and monitored by the officer conducting the operation and relevant Authorising Officer - ensuring the success of investigations and court processes by demonstrating that evidence and intelligence is obtained fairly and lawfully.
